She is also exploring demographic analyses and comparative genomics. Christopher Munoz PhD Student Chris is focusing his research interests in population genomics, phylogenomics, and demographic analyses of Chihuahuan Desert plants within the family Polygalaceae. Luis Pallares-Solano PhD Student Luis is using transcriptomics to understand ecotypic adaptations of the arctic plant Eriophorum vaginatum in relation to climate change scenarios. He is also interest in the landscape genomics of Arctic shrub species. Carmen Webster M.S. in Biological Sciences Carmen completed her Thesis "Analyzing genetic variation of the tussock cottongrass among ecotypes along a latitudinal gradient through transcriptomics" with an emphasis on Bioinformatics. She has now started PhD work at Arizona State University. |
